DUC THANH COMPANY ACHIEVED BSCI CERTIFICATE
Since its inception in 2003, BSCI (Business Social Compliance Initiative) has proved influence on the world economy thanks to its code of conduct in the enterprises. This is a set of standards to evaluate social compliance in business.
And at the beginning of August 2019, Bureau Veritas organization evaluated the factory of Duc Thanh company according to BSCI standards. The rating results achieved a level of “C” in 5 levels (A, B, C, D, E). This was effort of the Board of Executives and all employees. The certificate also proves that Duc Thanh Company has always committed to implementing the BSCI system based on the principles in compliance with Vietnamese laws and international conventions. The BSCI standard has important contents as follows:
1. Compliance with the law
2. The rights of freedom of association and collective bargaining
3. No discrimination
4. Fair remuneration
5. Decent working hours
6. Occupational health and safety
7. No child labor
8. Prohibition of forced and compulsory labor and disciplinary measures
9. Protection of the environment
10. Ethical business behavior
This also shows that in addition to improving the quality of products, completing production plans, Duc Thanh Company also aims at other goals including improvement of working conditions, care for employee health, creation of a good and safe working environment.
When achieving BSCI certification, the business partners and customer of Duc Thanh Company will have a new belief, belief in adherence to global social responsibility. The compliance with BSCI standards also proves that the products produced at Duc Thanh’s factory are increasingly complied with social standards.
